About Marek

Marek is currently traveling the world, both performing and exploring.  Based out of New York City, he was born in Chicago, Illinois,  and spent most of his life living in the small west suburb of River Forest, just outside the city.

Marek began his interest in music and art at a young age with art and music classes, orchestra, and choir, but he also kept busy with extracurricular sports. His younger sister performed in plays and musicals for several years at the local youth and community theaters. This eventually inspired Marek to audition in seventh grade for a production of Oliver at Circle Theatre in Forest Park, IL, and fall in love with being a part of the theatre.  After a couple of years of performing at the theater and at school, he was invited to be a Junior Company member at Circle Theatre, where he would perform and mentor in the youth shows, help build, paint sets, and usher for the main stage professional productions, as well as help with fundraising events. Through high school, he performed and worked at the theater and school, as well as played football all four years.  Marek went on to study and receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL.

After graduating, Marek moved to New York City, where he began auditioning and advancing his theatrical career.  Since moving to NYC, Marek has traveled the world doing productions of Jekyll & Hyde, West Side Story, and Phantom of the Opera, as well as working at several regional US theaters.  Marek can also be seen in some television shows and commercials worldwide.
